Issues and prospects for BRICS expansion were discussed at RSUH

On February 28, a lecture by Shrikanth Kondapalli, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi, India), was delivered on the topic “BRICS Expansion - Issues and Prospects”.

First Vice-Rector Olga Pavlenko opened the meeting and delivered a welcoming speech. She thanked Dr. Srikant Kondapalli for his visit to RSUH and noted the relevance of the topic discussed in the professor’s report.

Professor Kondapalli spoke about the formation of BRICS, its goals, new country members, the prospects made available to them thanks to BRICS, and the many advantages of expanding the association. The professor noted the important role of Russia in BRICS and analyzed its position.

The event was attended by Evgeny Kozhokin, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Foreign Area Studies of RSUH, Boris Medvedev, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Area Studies and Foreign Policy, Indira Gazieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Oriental Languages, Deputy Director the Center for South Asian Studies and other experts.
