On February 21, the VII Forum of Iranian scholars and teachers of Persian language and literature took place in Moscow.
Representatives of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University, Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow State Linguistic University, Kazan Federal University, Abylai Khan Kazakh University took part in the Forum. The list of participants also included the Khetagurov North Ossetian State University, Dagestan State University, etc. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Masoud Ahmadvand, Secretary of the Forum and Head of the Cultural Representation at the Iranian Embassy in the Russian Federation, Kazem Jalali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, Mohammad Rajabi Davani, Head of the Iranology Studies Foundation.
Rector Bezborodov noted in his speech that Iran, whose history goes back several thousand years, had always occupied a special place in Russian foreign policy. A new era of relations between Russia and Iran is coming, including in the fields of education, science, history, culture, literature, and language. Rector also added that currently, several programs related to the Persian language and Iranian studies are being implemented at RSUH. In addition, Persian is the second language those majoring in Arabic studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies and Social and Communication Sciences.
